Drum Sander MS3140

This is a medium capacity drum sander which will finish boards up to .400mm wide by 130mm thick. The extruded aluminium sanding drum is precision machined and balanced for minimum vibration. Used with care the machine can achieve a thickness tolerance of 0.25mm across the full width of the sanding drum.

The conveyor feed mat speed is infinitely variable and combined with fine abrasive it is very easy to achieve a first class finish ~ even with the most difficult of timbers. The abrasive is easily changed and is simply wound around the drum and secured each end by spring loaded clips. The height adjustment  rotates in 0.1mm increments, thus easily delivering control of the amount to sanded off. Extension tables for both the infeed and outfeed are supplied as standard making working with longer lengths of stock easier.

Unlike other machines on the market an integral wheel kit supplied as part of the standard equipment makes the machine fully mobile and easy to move around the working area. A nice addition not supplied on other brands of this type of sander is the sanding housing end clamp, used correctly this end clamp eliminates any 'wedging' of the sanded material, a common user complaint of this type of sander without the sanding drum end clamp.
